Carnival – 2019

Carnival – 2019

Our sincere gratitude and congratulations to the Carnival Committee and to you yourselves for the incredible support and assistance received prior to, during and after the carnival, and especially to Anna Hardwick (Co-Chairperson), Jess Tucker (Co-Chairperson) & Chris McGregor (Site Manager) whose leadership, energy and commitment made this year’s carnival such a wonderful success.

The priority of the carnival has always been focussed upon providing an amazing event that all families can enjoy. We identified early on that sponsorship and volunteers were major areas that we needed to address. Previously there had been much reliance on sponsorship as part of this event and our fundraising efforts. But without volunteers, the event simply couldn’t happen. As a result, our attention was to focus upon volunteers rather than sponsorship. Without volunteers, we simply could not have achieved what we did last Saturday and it is a credit to each and every one of you who put up your hands and worked together so positively to make it happen. There’s a great saying that goes – ‘if you build it they will come’, and what you collectively built together as a community was rewarded with an amazing turn out of people from both the local and regional areas along with raising over $15,000 in support of both our parish and school. That is an amazing amount given that we are a small community and highlights the generosity and support of our wonderful town.
