Grade 6 Canberra Camp

Grade 6 Canberra Camp

An update from Canberra

Thursday 4 April 2019

Exciting news from Canberra! During our visit at Government House yesterday, we were lucky to meet the Governor General and his wife, Madam Cosgrove. We had an opportunity to ask him questions and get a group photo. Can you believe it is already Thursday and we are moving through our last day of activities.

We are currently at the Electoral Commission learning how to vote. Later this morning we will be heading to the CSIRO, where students will be working through a number of interactive activities. After lunch we will head to the War Memorial. We have a guided tour, hangout in the DZone, dressing up and enjoying real life helicopters, a submarine and many more. Tonight we have been invited to lay a wreath during the Last Post Ceremony. Our Sport's Captains, Darcie and Cooper will have the honour of laying the wreath on behalf of our school. If you would like to watch the ceremony life, visit the War Memorial website and follow the links.

Kids have been great! However, a little tired from jam packed days. Looking forward to seeing you all tomorrow.

Kind regards

Brenda, Micheal, Tracey and Joel
