Learning and Teaching

eLearning

St. Ambrose offers a specialized Digital Curriculum with specialist teacher, Mrs. Kelly Woodman. Students participate in classes of one hour each week on Thursdays (senior classes) and Fridays (junior classes).

eLearning at St. Ambrose combines the Victorian Curriculum learning areas of Digital Technologies and Design and Technology.

At St Ambrose, our contemporary approach to learning is supported through the use of digital technology. The use of technology is effectively used to enhance learning outcomes across all stages of the curriculum.

We incorporate appropriate eLearning strategies to provide authenticity to the curriculum outcomes. The students are actively engaged in contemporary, collaborative and creative learning opportunities.

The school has recently upgraded and increased the number of Chromebooks available for student use along with iPads. Smartboards and large screen TV’s are in each classroom with airdrop capability.

To support the new Digital Technologies curriculum robotics has recently become part of the student’s learning program. Our resources include Bee-bots, Ozobot robots and other devices.

In 2017 St Ambrose was accredited as an eSmart school. eSmart provides the school community with a range of resources that supports continuous acceptable use of technology in a safe, smart and responsible environment.
